3 July is Independence Day in Belarus, which means Belarusians will be celebrating and chilling.

Independence Day In Minsk
Official 3 July celebrations will start near the Palace of Sports and in the Upper Town at 11 am. There will be music and the power extreme competition Minsk Strong Battle — 2019.
The main action this year has been moved to the evening – the military parade starts at 9 pm near the WWII museum. A concert will follow at 10:30 pm.
The festive fireworks will light the skies over the capital at 10 pm. You don’t necessarily have to be in the downtown to watch them – the fireworks will also go up near Airport Minsk-1, Zatsen village near Drozdy park, in Chizhovka and Uruch’ye.

If you prefer something less military, go enjoy the blooms and tunes at the Botanical garden. 3 July is the last day of MuzzicLETO festival – it closes with the “Waltz of the Roses and Strauss Gala”.
Another concert worth of attention if the performance of the Turetsky Choir at 7:30 pm near the Palace of Sports. The legendary a cappella ensemble will come to Minsk to congratulate Belarusians on the holiday – the concert is free.
If you want something less formal, drop in at Pesochnica. Eat, drink, chill.
Independence Day In Other Cities
In Grodno, the main celebration will start near the Mound Of Glory at 10 am. The fireworks are scheduled at 10 pm. Numerous other activities are planned in Lenina Square and Zhilbert park. More details here.
In Brest, the solemn action is scheduled at 9 am and onwards in the Brest Fortress. Starting from 3 pm the city’s central street Sovetskaya will turn into a bustling music space musical platform will open, where a concert devoted to the Independence Day will be held. His performances will delight the Brest creative teams and musicians.
In the evening you can go back to the Fortress – it will host a concert at 9:45 om and fireworks at 10:20 pm. More details here.
If you are in Mogilev, head to Slavy Square to watch the performance of Belarusian musicians, including Pesnyary and Naviband – the main concert starts at 8 pm. The fireworks will start at 10:20 pm. More details on the celebration in Mogilev here.
In Vitebsk, citizens will march down Moskovskiy avenue to Victory Square at 9:30 am. Then, there will be a rally and a military parade at the central square at 10:30 am. The official part will be followed by fun and entertainment including concerts and exhibitions. The Independence Day will wind up with fireworks at Victory Square at 11:00 pm. Full program here.
In Gomel, locals and guests of the city will enjoy a dance battle, open-air cinema, and fireworks on 3 July. The major celebration will be centered around Lenina Square where an exhibition of military vehicles and a concert by local bands will begin at 11 am. Come back at 6 pm for the “Classics near the Town Hall” open-air (the popular Minsk festival has expanded to regions) and huge fireworks at 10:20 pm. More details here.
