September is approaching quickly, and so is Minsk Half Marathon – one of the biggest and coolest sports events in the Belarusian capital.
If you’re in Minsk on 10 September, join in!
The 3rd edition of the race is dedicated to the 950th anniversary of Minsk and is expected to be the most large-scale so far.
Minsk Half Marathon was first held in 2013. It turned out great, so it was decided to keep the tradition going.
In 2015 the race gathred over 16,000 participants, in 2016 their number grew to over 20,000. These year the organizers expect 30 thousand runners at the start.
The race will begin at 9:30 on 10 September near the Palace of Sports. Runners can choose from three routes – 5.5, 10 and 21.1 km.
This year, there will be separate starts for 5.5 and 10 km distances and for those who will challenge of the whole distance.
The registration to the race opened in April and will last till 8 September.
Payments of the registration fee are accepted till 8 September.
Remember that if you’re coming by plane for 5 days or less, you don’t even need a visa.
