650 Trucks Stand In Queue At Belarusian-Lithuanian Border Due To Software Failure

The customs clearance of freight transport both entering and exiting from Lithuania will be done manually until 17 August, State Border Committee says.

Queues were formed at all Lithuanian checkpoints due to a software failure on the Lithuanian side.

The situation during last weekend was complicated by the hot weather. The Ministry of Emergency Situations organized the distribution of drinking water and water for technical needs. In addition, a wagon with products was launched along the queues.

State Border Committee recommends choosing other crossing points. It also notes that the number of trucks standing in a queue is gradually decreasing.
