Foreign Fans Buy 50% Of Tickets To European Figure Skating Championships In Minsk

2019 is just around the corner and it is time to make travel plans for it! The European Figure Skating Championships is likely to be on top of the list of things to do in Minsk in January.

Half of the tickets to it is bought by foreign fans, the organizers of the event say.

Most foreign ticket sales – 80% – are to the Russian fans.

Next in the interest to European Figure Skating Championships 2019 are the sports fans from the EU states. They have got 12% of all tickets sold to foreigners, with most tickets purchased by tourists from the UK, Latvia, and Germany.


Ukrainians are the third largest group of foreign fans to the championship so far with 7% of the tickets.

The geography of tickets sales to the European Figure Skating Championships in Minsk has already spread worldwide. In addition to Europeans, the capital of Belarus expects guests from Japan, China, Chile, and other countries.

The organizers can explain that big interest:

“The best figure skaters of Europe will be in Minsk in January. And the fans can get the cheapest tickets in the decade to watch them perform.”
