Storm with thunders and strong wind hit Belarus on Monday, 11 June.
Bad weather led to electricity cuts in 301 settlements across the country. Most affected were Minsk, Vitebsk and Grodno regions.
Internet users posted pictures and videos of an unusual phenomenon that was observed in Sharkovshchina village in Vitebsk region. Wind gusts almost formed a tornado that destroyed several buildings, swept 20 roofs and smashed windows.
Two emergency engineering teams were called to the place, 120 people work to eliminate the damage caused by wind.
By Tuesday morning power has been restored in most of the settlements.
