Tickets for concerts of the 29th edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk went on sale on Friday, 21 February.

The opening ceremony will take place on 16 July, the closing one is expected on 20 July. Additional events will be scheduled for 13-15 and 21 July. Don’t forget about the tickets!
Starting from 24 February, they will be available online via kvitki.by, ticketpro.by, bilesuserviss.lv, bilietai.lt, and piletilevi.ee. Mind that till 20 March one can get a ticket with a 10% discount.
Ticket prices vary from BYN 20 to BYN 220 (~$9-99; €8-91) in the Summer Amphitheatre and from BYN 8 to BYN 58 (~$3,61-21; -€3-24) in the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
What to expect
The main events of the festival will be the 29th International Song Contest Vitebsk 2020 and the 18th International Children’s Song Contest Vitebsk 2020.
The Vitebsk Concert Hall will traditionally host the contest among young artists. Adult singers will compete at the Summer Amphitheater.
On the first day of the final, contestants will perform a Slavic hit song accompanied by an orchestra. The second day will feature an international hit song to a backing track.
The second part of each concert will include recitals of Russiam pop-singer Dmitry Malikov and German lead singer of duo Modern Talking Thomas Anders.
The program will feature other events: the open-air Festival Picnic, the choir festival, Dream Dance Fest, jazz nights, the street art festival, music, theatre, puppet, and art projects, exhibitions.
Madonna or Kirkorov?
Back in November, the organizers of Slavianski Bazaar asked social media user what artists should be invited to the festival in 2020.
The post gathered a lot of comments and reactions. In particular, people suggested Rammstein, Lana Del Rey, Eminem, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Boni Tyler.
“People most wanted Madonna to come,” says festival director Gleb Lapitsky. “But she won’t. We simply won’t be able to make affordable prices for the star to get a full house.”
The festival will kick off with a gala rock concert in the amphitheatre on 14 July. Among the headliners are Chizh & Co, Alexander Ivanov and Rondo, Nogu Svelo, Vopli Vіdoplyasova and others.
Who else to expect? Philipp Kirkorov, Valery Meladze, Albina Dzhanabaeva, Viagra, Mband and many others will bring their shows to Vitebsk. A chanson concert will finish an eight-day party.
Recall that foreigners with tickets to Slavianski Bazaar will be able to enter Belarus visa-free. Entrance without a visa will work from 1 to 20 July (the dates will be further refined).
The International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk is the largest cultural forum in Belarus since 1992. In the two decades, the festival welcomed participants from 63 countries.
The various festival events have been attended by 800,000 people.
