The Health Ministry confirmed the second death of a patient infected with coronavirus. Information was made public in the minitry’s official telegram channel.
Over 32,000 tests for the COVID-19 have been carried out in Belarus by 1 April.
Over the past 24 hours, five coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital. Meanwhile, 157 people remain under medical surveillance and receive treatment.
The ministry has not reported the total number of cases of coronavirus in Belarus since 31 March. On 30 March, 152 coronavirus cases were reported.
On 1 April, media reported a death of a teacher from Doktorovichi village in the Kopyl region, where the residents have been recently tested for coronavirus.
She was 70 years old, the woman spent the last two weeks in the Kopyl central district hospital. According to her neighbors, she tested positive for coronavirus infection.
Earlier, several residents of the village were taken to a Minsk hospital with pneumonia and suspected coronavirus. Children who contacted with a presumably ill teacher were taken to Kopyl hospital.
Employees of the Kopyl central district hospital who made contact with coronavirus patients were quarantined at the place of work. On 30 March, a patient with confirmed coronavirus died in Vitebsk.
