PHOTOS: 600 Santas Run For Fun To Usher Christmas Season In Belarus

Christmas has come early to the streets of Minsk in the form of hundreds of Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens. But these Ded Morozes and Snegurockas, as we call them in Belarus, were unusually athletic.

They were running and swimming. Wait a second, what was going on? Obviously, it’s long-awaited Santas’ race that took place at Victory Park last Saturday and gathered over 600 enthusiasts.

If you want to know more about Belarusian Santa or perhaps it’s better to say Santas, since Belarusians are lucky they have two of them – meet Father Frost (aka Ded Moroz) and its relative Zuzya.
