On Sunday, 2 May, millions of Christians celebrated one of the most important and sacred holidays on the Orthodox Church’s calendar – Easter. Many families gathered to dye and decorate eggs, bake and eat kulich bread and paskha cakes. Some worshippers also went to churches to attend Easter services. Due to a COVID-19 pandemic, worshippers came in masks, and priests tried to go out more often to bless people’s food to avoid crowds. Here’s a closer look at how Belarusians prepared for Easter 2021:
