Minsk has made it to the top three most romantic cities in Europe popular among couples for weekend trips, the Russian tourist portal TourStat reports.
The top ten also includes St. Petersburg, Paris, Kaliningrad, Prague, Yekaterinburg, Amsterdam, Baku, Yerevan, and Tallinn.
The ranking timed to St. Valentine’s Day is based on an online survey of more than five thousand TourStat visitors conducted in February 2020.
“The Russians cast 23% of the votes for St. Petersburg and Paris as the most romantic cities in Europe. Kaliningrad and Minsk gained 8% of the vote, Prague – 7%, Yekaterinburg, Amsterdam, Baku and Yerevan shared 5% and Tallinn – 3%,” the agency said.
