Minsk National Airport won the CIS Best Airport 2018 nomination.
On 29 May, the Airport Association of CIS Civil Aviation held its annual meeting in Moscow to review the performance in 2018 and honor the winners.
The Minsk airport received an honorary diploma of the association and the CIS Best Airport 2018 Cup. This is an award for contribution to the development of civil aviation.
The airports are evaluated in terms of the route network, flight safety, physical infrastructure, and the quality of passenger service and more.
Minsk Airport joined the association in 1997 and has already won the CIS best airport title in 2013 and 2017. In 2009, it got the title of the Rapidly growing airport.
Established in 1990, the NGO organization coordinates the activity of its members, expands their business opportunities, represent and protect their interests.
As of December 2018, it includes 48 airports, airlines and airport associations. Minsk Airport was also named the world’s most punctual airport, according to Punctuality League for 2019 by aviation analysts OAG.

Minsk National Airport claimed the first place in the category of the best-performing small airports (2.5-5 million seats). According to OAG, 92.35% of flights arrived or departed on time.
Also, two years ago the airport along with Belavia Belarusian Airlines were both awarded the 8th place in the airport and airline punctuality ranking for 2017.
