Minsk Airport Introduces Fast-Track Security Checks

Starting 1 August, travelers at Minsk National Airport will be able to pay to skip queues and enjoy a fast-tracked “premium” service.

An international visitor will have to pay 20 BYN, which is approximately $10, for the privilege to undergo airport security pre-screening, the airport website reads.

Children under the age of 3 will undergo the procedure for free.

How to use the service?

The passenger must be registered for the flight, have a printed boarding pass and a receipt for payment of FastTrack service. Eligible customers will then have to go to A security checkpoint for a fast-track screening.

How to pay for the service?

Travelers can pay for the service via ‘Calculation system’ (the System of Single Settlement and Information Space) or information kiosk at the entrance to the security checkpoint A.

More details on the payment instructions can be found here. The FastTrack service will work in test mode throughout August.

Minsk National Airport gradually introduces innovations, such as self-service bag drop service and separate passport queues as part of a plan aimed at improving the experience for passengers.

Recall that the airport made it to the list of the world’s most punctual airports for 2019, according to Punctuality League for 2019 by aviation analysts OAG.

It claimed the first place in the category of the best-performing small airports (2.5-5 million seats). According to OAG, 92.35% of flights arrived or departed on time (strictly less than 15 minutes after schedule.)
