The list of politicians includes Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and Pavel Latushko. Also, blogger Anton Motolko and former law enforcers: ex-employee of the special unit “Almaz” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Igor Makar, former investigator of the Investigative Committee, one of the founders of BYPOL [a group of former investigators and law enforcers] Andrei Ostapovich, former officer of the GUBOPiK [the Main Directorate for combating organized crime] Stanislav Luponosov.

The KGB also added Vyacheslav Maleichuk to the list of those arrested for preparing the terrorist attacks. According to a report released by state TV, a 35-year-old resident of the Pinsk region planted an explosive device in a garbage can near a playground in Minsk, and allegedly planned to plant the second one in a military town in Pechi.

“Law enforcers managed to stop crimes, find and neutralize improvised explosive devices,” said the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The KGB opened a criminal case on the fact of an attempted act of terrorism. Judging by what the person signed as Maleichuk in the video said, he intended to commit an explosion with “the purpose of a protest action” in order to “express his civic position.”

There are eighteen new names on the list in total. The grounds for inclusion in this list were the charges brought under Art. 14 [Attempted Crime] and Art. 289 [Act of terrorism] of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
