A Polish company is reported to build a new furniture manufacturing factory for Sweden-based home furnishing giant IKEA in Grodno.

The investment project is export-oriented with the IKEA group of companies (sales markets in the EU and CIS countries) seen as the main customers of the enterprise.
At least 170 new jobs will be created in the region as the new furniture cluster starts humming. Also, the industrial premises will make up to 20,000 m², have own woodworking base and pellet workshop.
Recall that Belarus annually produces goods for the Swedish retailer IKEA for 80 million euros. Furniture, textiles, and accessories made in Belarus are sold in IKEA stores around the world.

Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Grodnoinvest offers a special legal regime for investment and entrepreneurial activity for its residents.
Today, 75 enterprises in woodworking, machine building and metalworking, food and light industry, agriculture are FEZ residents.
In 2018, the cluster of the woodworking and furniture enterprises produced goods worth 830 million rubles with a share in the total output of 33%.
GABI Group is a company with 100% Polish capital. The main activity of the company is the production of upholstered furniture. Since 2013, the GABI Group has been cooperating with IKEA.
Earlier there were reports about the company considering the possibility of locating production in Molodechno.
