Halloween is over, and that can only mean one thing – Christmas is heading our way. Another proof to that is Minsk catching up with a global trend of putting festive decorations early November.
First Christmas trees in Belarus’ capital was spotted at Gorky Park on 31 October blazing the trail for other trees to pop up here and there. Even unseasonably warm weather is not an obstacle!
Turns out that the tradition of putting up Christmas trees two months until the big day is not a novelty, for the third year in a row, it has been practised for several years now. Can you believe that?
According to the city authorities, the installation process as well as decoration works takes pretty much time and should be finished until the first decade of December.
