Starting 14 February, passengers who check-in online for their flights at Minsk Airport will receive their boarding passes electronically on their mobile devices.
Passengers of the airlines that provide such an option will be able to go through security checkpoints and board their flights without a paper boarding pass. An electronic boarding pass is no different from its paper version.
The document indicates:
- ticket number;
- personal data of a passenger;
- the airline’s name;
- two-digit carrier code;
- flight number;
- departure airport;
- destination airport;
- date and time of departure;
- information about the tariff and additional services.
To receive an electronic boarding pass, one need to check-in online on the airline’s website or via the application. The electronic boarding pass will be sent by email directly to the passenger’s mobile device.
When undergoing security screening, one will have to present an electronic boarding pass to the aviation security service officer who will make a note in the electronic database, which basically replaces the stamp on a paper document.

- a 2D code electronic boarding pass on the screen of a mobile device;
- a printed boarding pass downloaded from the airline’s website during online check-in;
- a standard-form boarding pass issued at the reception or at self-check-in kiosks.
Recall that Minsk National Airport continues to improve its services for better passenger experience. This year it claimed the first place in the small airports category for 2,5 – 5 million seats in the annual OAG Punctuality League for 2020.
