“I Don’t Deserve It, But I’ll Do My Best.” Maradona Thanks Belarus For Welcome

The legend of the world football, Diego Maradona, expressed his gratitude for open-armed welcome in Belarus.

“The food is like the one at home. Thank you, Belarus, for this reception.

I do not think I deserve this, but I will try hard to do the best to Dynamo Brest,” Diego Maradona wrote on Instagram.

The celebrity took to his Instagram page to share his emotions after he was met like a true football king in Brest.

He was so impressed with the reception he even considered the idea of settling in Brest.

The 57-year-old footballer landed in Brest on Monday to give his first press conference in Belarus.

He also attended a game of the Belarusian Football Championship between Dynamo Brest and Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Diego Maradona is expected to spend some time in Argentina with his family.

His next meeting with the Belarusian club is scheduled on 2 August in Athens.

Argentinian icon is set to attend a game of Dynamo Brest against Atromitos FC in the Europa League second round.

Recall that Maradona signed a three-year deal to join the Belarusian top-flight club Dynamo Brest as the new chairman.

His role at Dynamo doesn’t revolve around coaching, he will oversee the strategic development of the club.
