As of 28 October, 95,545 people have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Healthcare Ministry. The daily increase is 936 new cases.
Meanwhile, 84,690 COVID-19 patients (+453 in the 24 hours) have recovered and were discharged, 969 patients (+ four in the 24 hours) died since the outbreak. Belarus conducted a total of 2, 418, 399 tests.
On 28 October, the Healthcare Ministry repoted that planned medical care for patients with chronic cardiac diseases was suspended in Minsk because of coronavirus. Besides, planned surgical and gastroenterological care will be temporarily suspended.
Some hospital departments in the country have already been redesigned to treat patients with COVID-19. According to the Healthcare Ministry, the supply of personal protective equipment is enough for healthcare organizations to operate for more than two months.
Emergency care will be provided in a timely manner and in full. There are 2,184 artificial lung ventilation devices in Belarus, more than 1,500 anesthetic and respiratory devices, 9688 medical oxygen connection points, 3,075 dispensers of oxygen-air mixture, 433 oxygen concentrators.
