Around 23,000 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry reports.
As of 25 March, 29 patients have already been discharged or are getting ready to be discharged from the hospital. Their tests came back negative.
“Another 57 people are under medical observation and getting treatment,” the press service said. Two more patients are being tested due to the ambiguity of the results of their tests.
The last time statistics was announced on 23 March. Then 81 cases of coronavirus infection were detected and 22 people already recovered.
The first patient with coronavirus in Belarus was diagnosed on 28 February. The oldest patient is 78 years old, the youngest is 3 years old.
Belarus is among the top ten countries in terms of the number of tests performed. About 1,100 were first-level contacts of the COVID-19 patients are now isolated, 8,800 people are confirmed as second-level contacts.
Recall that Belarus unlike neighbouring countries didn’t declare a national quarantine.
