As of 6 July, 63,804 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Belarus. The daily increase of new infections is 250 cases, the Healthcare Ministry reports.

Earlier Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko explained that doctors are currently monitoring patients with pneumonia since tests can be not informative enough for COVID-19 diagnostics. He noted that there are currently 1,100 patients with heavy form of disease.
Batyr Berdyklychev, the WHO representative in Belarus, still recommends to follow recommended preventive measures: respiratory etiquette, hand hygiene, physical distancing, wearing masks.
Meanwhile, the Healthcare Ministry officials don’t exclude the possibility of a second wave of COVID-19 in the country. However, Healthcare Minsiter Vladimir Karanik hopes that the gained experience will help and the health system will be more prepared for the new wave.
