As of 7 August, 68,614 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Belarus. The number of new cases is 111 per day, the Healthcare Ministry reports.
64,200 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals (+444 patients in the 24 hours). A total of 583 coronavirus patients have died (+3 in the 24 hours) since the outbreak.
That is there are 3,831 COVID-19 infected people in the country at the moment. Belarus has conducted 1,353,657 tests (+9,354 in the 24 hours).
The Healthcare Ministry projects a second wave of COVID-19 in November-December. Personal protective equipment and medications are restocked, additional oxygen points are installed in hospitals.
Tests for COVID-19 antibodies are now availbale at private Sinevo and Sinlab laboratories. Besides, one can get tested at the 3rd city clinical hospital, the city clinical emergency hospital, the 2nd city clinical, the 4th city clinical, and the 10th city clinical hospitals.
The Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, as well as Minsk polyclinics also do the tests.
Since 1 August, Ukraine has included Belarus on the “green list”. That is after crossing the border, Belarusians in Ukraine don’t need to go into 14-day quarantine or take a PCR test for coronavirus. However, after returning from Ukraine to Belarus, all visitors will still need to isolate themselves for two weeks.
