As of Monday, 30 March, there are 152 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Belarus, the Ministry of Health reports.
Also, 47 people have already been discharged or are getting ready to be discharged from the hospital. Their re-tests for COVID-19 came back negative.
Another 105 people are currently under medical observation and getting treatment. Over the past three days, the number of coronavirus cases in Belarus has grown by more than half – from 94 to 152.
About 30,000 tests for COVID-19 have been carried out in the country so far. Measures to control the current epidemiological situation are ongoing, and if necessary, patients are hospitalized for further observation and examination.
For the last 24 hours, 110 people were hospitalized, 144 people were discharged, including those who had contacts with infected persons. On 27 March, Deputy Minister Elena Bogdan stated that Belarus has no lack of drugs or free hospital beds and the ambulance operates in a usual mode.
Unlike Western and neighboring countries, the Ministry of Health of Belarus doesn’t publish statistics on the number of infected people every day. The previous time the data was reported on 27 March.
Then, 94 people tested positive for coronavirus and 32 patients fully recovered, 62 diagnosed with the infection received treatment under medical supervision.
No quarantine has been introduced in Belarus, educational institutions have not been closed, borders remain open. However, since 27 March, a 14-day quarantine was introduced for all arrivals from the countries with confirmed coronavirus cases.
