Global Entrepreneurship Week will be held in Belarus from 14 to 20 November, the event’s organizers told the media.
“This year’s forum is about innovative thinking, new thinking for entrepreneurs, and ideas to develop business, boost export potential, and launch new services and products. All the events will be practice-oriented”, Anastasia Khomenkova, Director of Bel.Biz company, the organizer, said.
She added that all the speakers partaking in the initiative will share their unique first-hand experience.
For the first time Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus will feature GovTech Hackathon, a new format of partnership between government and business. The hackaton will include 44 hours of teamwork between businessmen, government representatives and IT professionals to develop innovative solutions.
Belarus joined Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2011 and became one of 137 countries participating in the largest entrepreneurial initiative around the world.
GEW activities in Belarus are coordinated by Bel.Biz company. In 2012, Belarus was included in Top-5 GEW organizers globally. In 2013, TechCrunch included GEW Belarus in the list of the best startup events in Europe.
The agenda of GEW 2016 in Belarus includes over 30 events and over 2000 from 20 countries. Anyone can participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week, with preliminary registration required.
