A freight car ran off the track at the Brest-Vostochniy station on 29 July at 11.05 pm, Brest branch of the Belarusian Railways told TUT.BY.
The accident reportedly occurred during shunting activities. The car was intended for transportation of Belaruskali mineral fertilizers. Fortunately, no one was injured.
A commission was set up and experts called to clarify the causes and circumstances of the incident. An official investigation is currently underway.
Recall that 15 tank-cars of the freight train with liquefied gas had derailed at the Orsha-Vitsebsk running line last Wednesday. The news about the accident was made public by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on Twitter.
Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the tankers were carrying propane. The consequences were eliminated by emergency recovery trains and several MES units. No injuries were reported.
