Belarusians Invited To Plant 4,000 Hectares Of New Forest In 7 Days

Forest Week 2018 will be held in Belarus on 14-21 April. Within a week everyone interested can plant trees, pick up litter, and arrange places for mass recreation.

The forestries have already prepared 17 million trees that will cover at least 3,700 hectares in the future.

Many Belarusians are planning to participate in the event together with their families.

The event is supported by representatives of business, public associations, mass media, state bodies, controlling agencies and deputies.

Anybody who wants to can take part in the event. All you need to do is to contact the nearest forestry department.

Here, volunteers will be provided with the necessary tools and seedlings to plant the trees, pick up litter and arrange places of recreation.

Belarus will celebrate its Forest Week for the 11th time this year.

Last year 82,500 people took part in the “Forest Week”, in 2016 there were 81,000 people. Let’s see how many will turn up this year!
