Belarus Deploys More Border Guards To Ensure National Security

Belarus is to increase the number of border guards in an unprecedented step to ensure national security.

A decision was prompted by several negative factors associated with illegal migration, drug trafficking, and weapons smuggling, to name a few.

To ensure border and national security, the country is to increase the number of personnel, revive and reinforce maneuver groups, and create new border units.

Besides, separate parts of the border will be strengthened, particularly that in in the south. Recall that last year plans to strengthen security along a border with Ukraine to stop the arms traffic were made public.
