Victoria Azarenka child custody case to be heard in Belarus giving the tennis superstar more chances to win the battle with her ex-partner Billy McKeague and resume her career.
Fingers crossed, she will be able to travel with her baby again!
The court of California ruled in favor of the former number one whose lawyers asked to hear the child custody case in Belarus instead of the USA, reports TMZ.
Recall that the Belarusian court has already awarded Victoria the right for primary custody of baby Leo.
Now McKeague has 3 weeks to appeal the ruling but Azarenka’s team convinced that the court will rule out in their favour.
The couple split up in July last year shortly after Leo’s birth and a prolonged custody dispute between the two meant Vica hasn’t been able to leave California.
She missed a series of important sports events, including the US Open, the Australian Open, the ASB Classic in Auckland and Belarus’ Fed Cup.
There are reports that Azarenka plans to move back to Belarus with their son as soon as possible.
Despite the fight with McKeague that turned dirty, she still wants her baby daddy to be in the kid’s life and hopes to have an amicable co-parenting relationship with him.
