The National Airport Minsk welcomed its three-millionth passenger of 2017, the airport’s press service reported on 18 September.
Almost two months earlier than in 2016.
The passenger arrived in Minsk from Domodedovo in Moscow on 16 September.
Last year the airport welcomed the three-millionth passenger on 10 November.
“This year the milestone happened a few months earlier, which indicates a stable growth in passenger traffic,” the press service said.
At present the construction of the second runway is underway in the national airport. Autorities expect the second runway to be commissioned by 2019, and the airhub to receive four millions of passengers in 2020.
