The representative office of the airlines in Minsk explained that just selected flights were cancelled.

“It was the decision of the planning department in Beijing. The coronavirus epidemic caused low passenger traffic,” they explained and offered to monitor flights at the airport’s timetable or call directly Air China.

Following the cancellation, Air China is offering several options – move flight, credit account or a full refund for guests who were affected by the flight changes or wish to make changes to their flight.

Meanwhile, citizens who stayed in China for less than 14 days prior to arrival in Belarus will have to fill out a special form. They will also have to undergo free laboratory diagnostics to check for coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

Recall that Minister of Health Vladimir Karanik assured that no cases of a coronavirus were registered in Belarus. However, on 30 January sanitary and epidemiological services, emergency medical aid services, polyclinics and hospitals were put on a high alert.

According to the department’s estimates, about 3,000 Chinese students and workers should come to Belarus in February after the New Year holidays. Due to this fact, an additional level of control is opened at the airport.

At the same time, Belarus is not considering imposing an entry ban for foreign residents who have visited China.
