Maps And Guidebooks To Be Published Ahead Of 2019 European Games

Belarus will publish maps, guidebooks, and mini encyclopedias for the guests and participants of the 2019 European Games in Minsk.

The preparations for the 2019 European Games in Belarus is in full swing!

The information was made public by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko at the final board meeting of the Information Ministry on Monday, 5 February.

The Information Ministry is to decide on the list of printed products in the near future. The materials will be published in the Belarusian, Russian and other languages.

Visa-Free Stay Will Be Extended For 2019 European Games

The target audience of the maps, guidebooks and small encyclopedias are the guests and participants of the Second European Games.

A number of tasks were set for the Information Ministry in 2018, including the control over the mass media’s compliance with the national legislation, improvement of the economic performance and the organization of the Belarusian Written Language Day.

Over 11,000 participants will be accredited for the 2019 European Games in Minsk, 4,000 athletes and coaches and 7,000 as volunteers, journalists and other officials among them.

The First European Games were held in Azerbaijan on 12-28 June 2015. They were attended by 5730 athletes from 50 countries. 253 sets of medals were played in 30 sports.

Belarus won 43 (10 gold, 11 silver and 22 bronze) medals to place seventh in the medal table.
