Minskers and guests of the city are invited to join in the international cycling event “Viva rovar!” in the Belarusian capital on 12 May.

Participants gather at 13.30pm in Victory Park, the route starts at Minsk Hero City Obelisk at 3pm along Pobediteley Avenue to Minsk-Arena.
When all riders arrive back to the park a full bike parade and various fun activities are planned.
The contest for the best Belarusian costume, the best children’s outfit, the most creative family and team is a part of the programme.
Besides bicycle lovers the owners of skateboards, scooters and even monocycles are invited. The only demand is to be able to keep the speed of 15 km/h.
To join the Minsk international bike festival “Viva Rovar!” register on the official website or you can do it on the spot next Saturday.
Children under 14 years old can take part in the event only if accompanied by adults.
Minsk is gradually turning into a modern bike-friendly city. Bicycle parking lots are expected to appear near two metro stations this month.
The citizien are also waiting for a cityride bicycle rental network this summer.
Recall that last year the European Union allocated €560,000 to encourage the Belarusians to ride bicycles.
