President Of Vietnam To Pay Official Visit To Belarus On 26-28 June

Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang will be making an official visit to Belarus on 26-28 June. He is expected to hold talks with the Belarusian President, TUT.BY writes.

The two heads of state will hold a one-on-one meeting on Tuesday, press service of the Belarusian leader reported.

“The parties will discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, with special emphasis on the development of trade and economic cooperation”, the message reads.

It is expected that the sides will sign a package of documents to expand cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam.

Alexander Lukashenko and Tran Dai Quang will also take part in the opening of a Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum.

Besides, the Vietnamese delegation will meet high-standing Belarusian offcials, visit a number of industrial enterprises and cultural attractions.

Vietnam is one of Belarus’ trade partners in the Asian region.

According to the National Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Belarus and Vietnam in 2016 amounted to $121 million, exports reaching $76.8 million.

Belarus exports potash fertilizers, freight and quarry dump trucks, tires, tractors, metal and food products to Vietnam.
