Victoria announced her pregnancy on 15 July by a post on Facebook. The announcement came after she missed several tennis cups and just three weeks before the start of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Before leaving to the United States for childbirth, Azarenka spent about two months in Belarus.
She supported the national men’s tennis team during the Davis Cup, attended the matches of HC Dynamo in Minsk-Arena, held a training camp for children and a children’s national tennis tournament.
Azarenka names Bill McKeague, an American, her boyfriend. Since the beginning of last year he accompanied the Belarusian tennis player to all tournaments. Bill loves sports, often trains with Vika and plays hockey.
