International UCI Europe Tour road races – 176km Minsk Cup and 145km Grand Prix Minsk – will be held in the Belarusian capital on 7-8 July.
The 3rd edition of the races will be more large-scale and with more surprises than before, the organizers said.
“This year we expect more than 20 teams from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, China, Poland, Israel, Finland, and other countries,” they said.
Many of them are already regular participants of Minsk races.
176km Minsk Cup race will start at 11:00 on Friday. The route includes a ride throught the centre and five circles around Minsk Sea.
145km Grand Prix Minsk is scheduled at 13:45 on Saturday.
The start-finish zone will be located on Pobediteley Avenue in front of the shopping center Gallery Minsk.
Fans of cycling will be able to watch athletes racing on the big screen and have fun in the entertainment zone on the opposite sode of the road.
Besides the main event, the program includes a beauty contest “Velo Miss”, dance classes, work out and yoga zones, a food zone and music performances.
