After kissing goodbye to summer 2018, it’s hight time to celebrate the new season with a bunch of festivals and holidays. And the Tankman Day fest is just one of them!
Real tanks, hours of gaming, live music, army cuisine and many more.
Timed to Tankman’s Day in Belarus the large-scale festival will take place at Park Pobedy this Sunday, 9 September.
The festival will gather professional tankmen, war veterans, and numerous fans of the popular Belarusian military game World of Tanks.
Park Pobedy will turn into one big interactive platform that will feature online tournaments, real-world quests, master classes on first aid and survival.
Impressive musical line-up, food courts and a game zome with over 200 computers for WoT fans are also on the list.
The concert headliners include such Belarusian bands as BoomBox, IOWA and Tantsy Minus, just to name a few.
Usually, the festival draws crowds – last year it gathered over 100,000 people, this year even more are expected.
The festival will wrap up with a beautiful display of fireworks. So wait till the late evening to watch the light show!
The Tankman Day was introduced in July 1946 to honour the role of tankmen in defense of the country and tank construction industry workers during World War II.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Belarusian Defense Ministry and Wargaming, the company that developed the WoT.
