Sleet, wind and +3°C outside were not an obstacle for over 800 men who took part in ‘Real Men’s’ Run in Minsk on 23 February.
The main condition to enter the race was to run shirtless – to the great delight of many girls and women, both supporters and random passers-by.
The runners covered the distances of 1 km and 3.5 km.
The winners of the 1 km race took only about 3 minutes to complete it. Probably because of the beautiful ladies who were giving out medals and kisses at the finish line 😉
Those runners who won the first three places in the 3.5 km distance were awarded certificates and money prizes.
The run was timed to the Defender of the Fatherland Day, that is marked in Belarus and other CIS countries on 23 February.
According to the organizers, the idea was inspired by the Ladies’ Run that took place last year on 8 March. If women could resist the chill of the beginning of spring, then real men could certainly combat the cold of the end of winter!
