On November 7th Belarusians have a day off, and that’s great considering what a strange holiday that is.
November 7th marks the beginning of the Soviet era even though the USSR doesn’t exist anymore. Not even Russians, who are legal successors of the Soviets, celebrate this day or at least make a public holiday out of it.
Who are we to complain, though. Belarusians do like to rest. And there’s no harm in knowing more about the events of the past, is there? Check how much you know about the revolution – and join the celebration.
