Where To Oktoberfest? Guide To Popular Bars And Pubs In Minsk

World’s favourite beer festival Oktoberfest is in full swing across the globe.

Spending it in Minsk? Well, here’s where to party!

Minsk bars generally join the festival a little later, so you didn’t miss much.

We’ve made made up a list of Oktoberfest offers in bars and pubs, and added some places that are always a good idea for a beer party!

All of them are more or less central and have good reviews from locals.

1. Druz’ya Brewery (Friends Brewery)

The restaurant, rated No15 of 495 restaurants in Minsk, says there’s not better place for Oktoberfest in the city.

It offers a special menu for Oktoberfest, live music (as always) and Bavarian dances.

Fun starts every day at 18:00. The entrance to the place costs 10 Belarusian rubles (~$5).

2. Gvozd Beer Restaurant

During the festival weeks, the restaurant offers a selection of beers and mouth-watering foods cooked according to original recipes to accompany them.

The menu even has traditional Bavarian Bretzels!

If you want to leave the memory of the Oktoberfest not only in the stomach, there are branded German souvenirs for sale.

Join Oktoberfest every evening starting 18:00 and mind there are two Gvozd restaurants in the city.

3. TNT Rock Club

The place has good reviews and is said to be very popular among IT guys (just in case you want to discuss coding while drinking).

Its Oktoberfest offer is a 1.4 kg  meat set “Hungry Til” (22Br), a selection of German beers and rock concerts in the background.

You are welcome every day starting 12:00.

4. Gambrinus Pub

Ranked No5 of 495 restaurants in Minsk, the pub is very well known to tourists for its super central location in the historical part of the city, excellent service and varied beer menu.

The pub’s special Oktobesfest surprise for the guests are two original kinds of beer directly from Munich (in addition to 13 varieties of draft beer and many kinds of bottled beer on the regular menu).

5. Clever Irish Pub

Clever is a simple place with hearty meals, live music and sports broadcasts.

During the Oktoberfest, the pub added German dishes and 3 varieties of original Munich beer to the menu.

6. Staromestny Pivovar

Either it is Oktoberfest or any other time, you can not leave Minsk without visiting this place.

It serves beer from its own brewery and dishes of European cuisine in the atmosphere of a classic beer restaurant.

The place is usually crowded so book a table in advance.

Good news is that the place has expanded to two new locations – on Karl Marx and Revolyutsionnaya streets.

7. Malt & Hops

Visitors describe this pub as a place with good beer and burgers, though complain of smoking in the main room.

If you’re OK with that, drop in for an Oktoberfest with hot dogs and German sausage, or any other time for English atmosphere and scotch.

The pub neighbors Zybitskaya, so you can continue with cocktails afterwards.

8. BierKeller

As you can guess from the name, BierKeller is a typical beer tavern.

The place itself is small, but its Oktoberfest menu is huge – salads, appetizers, ribs, meats and five varieties for beer.

Little piece of Munich in the center of Minsk” is opem till midnight on five days a week and till 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

9. Royal Oak Pub

Royal Oak is another English pub in Minsk.

There’s no separate Oktoberfest menu, but – hey – beer is poured into glasses every day here.

The reviews are mostly positive, the prices are average.

The pub looks quite fancy and is located in a cute Soviet quarter.

10. 1067 pub

You want tasty beer, good burger and fair price? You go to 1067.

The place will not impress those who want luxury, but is a perfect choice for fans of simple food and simple talks.

The waiters are helpful and the pub has two locations – both just a minute’s walk from the main street.

11. Czapski bar

This small bar is a relatively place named after Jan Karol Czapski, one of Minsk most popular and beloved mayors.

When we say small, we mean small. There are a couple of tables inside and some seats outside, so the place will not cater for a big company.

But it definitely has a special charm and – what’s more important for this list – a wide selection of craft beers.

Bonus: BeerCap Barshop

Though visitors describe it as a bar, the place is actually a shop where you can taste beer.

Take your time to study its selection of draft beer, chat with a bartender and meet locals!

We acknowledge the list may not be complete, so feel free to add your fav beer places in the comments!
