A new observation deck is to open in the heart of the city next summer.
And it will offer some fancy views!
Minsk watch plant Luch announced plans to open an observation deck on its famous clock tower.
A 30m platform will offer nice views on the neighboring streets and Chelyuskinites Park.
The project had already been agreed with the city authorities; and the opening is scheduled for summer.
According to the Deputy Director of Luch, the opening is part of the plant’s PR strategy.
The project is non-commercial, so the entrance to the roof will cost “not more than a trip in the subway”.
The plant also voiced plans to tear down one of the old buildings from 1953 and constructed in a new one instead of it.
The construction will be financed from the money allocated in 2010 when the Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller bought a controlling stake in Minsk watch plant.
