Over 50km Of New Bike Routes For New Tourist Season In Augustow Canal Park

More than 50 km of new biсycle routes are being developed for the start of the season at the Augustow Canal. Preparations for the new tourist season are in full swing, with special attention being paid to cycling.

“Seasonal border crossing point Lesnaya-Rudavka will open on the Belarusian-Polish border starting 28 April”, Grodno region officials said. It will serve tourists crossing the border by water, bicycle or on foot.


Fans of active lifestyle will have an opportunity to explore the picturesque banks of the Augustow Canal by bicycle.

Tourist routes are now being marked, info signs and maps are being installed for convenient navigation, the officials said.

The territory of the Augustow Canal has opened for visa-free travel in October 2016. Foreign travelers can spend up to 5 days exploring the park’s natural and cultural attractions, that cover a big part of the region including Grodno.
