Minsk To Host Final Stage Of World Cup Short Track 2016/17 On 10-12 February

sportivno-razvlekatelnyj-kompl_minsk-arena_minsk-pobeditelej-111_o-kompanii_1The 6th stage of ISU World Cup Short Track 2016/17 will take place at Minsk Arena on 10-12 February. It is the first time the capital of Belarus is hosting the tournament.

The previous stages of the World Cup were held in Canada, the USA, Shanghai,  the Republic of Korea and Germany.

In Minsk, sports fans will be able to watch the strongest athletes of the year. Traditionally, the favorites are the athletes from Russia, the Netherlands, Korea, Canada and China.

The organizers planned a variety of activities for each day of the competition.

There will be a fan zone for children, sport goods and souvenir shops and a comfortable hospitality area for everyone. Fans will be able to enjoy hot drinks, snacks and take part in competitions to win  special prizes from organizers.

The opening ceremony starts at 13:30 (local time) on 11 February.

Competition schedule (local time):

  • 10 February  – 11:10-20:00  (fan zone – 15:00-20:00)
  • 11 February – 9:55-18:00 (fan zone – 11:00-20:00)
  • 12 February  –  9:25-18:00  (fan zone – 11:00-19:00)

You can buy a ticket at Minsk Arena box offices. Prices vary from 5 to 10 Belarusian rubles (€2.5-5). €5 ticket is valid for all competition days.
