Minsk National Airport is among the top ten most punctual European airports in the category “From 1.5 to 5 million passengers a year”, according to the latest Fly Stats ranking.
Being always on time!
The news was made public by Director General of Minsk National Airport Dmitry Melikyan during a meeting with representatives of airlines and related organizations.
“We will pass the milestone of 4 million passengers by the 2017 year end, which illustrates the rapid development of our enterprise. The number of departures went up from 2016.
We made it to the top 10 most popular European airports serving from 1.5 to 5 million passengers a year in the Fly Stats ranking,” Dmitry Melikyan noted.
UTair tops the ranking in the category of airlines operating more than 100 flights per month, with a punctuality rate of 85.8%, as 103 out of 120 flights arrived on time.
Airbaltic has been named as the top on-time performer among the airlines with fewer than a hundred flights per month, with a punctuality rate of 91.2%.
The airline landed without delay 31 out of 34 flights.
Next year, Minsk National Airport plans to increase the passenger and cargo traffic along with the number of departures, while raising the quality of air services and non-aviation services.
The second artificial runway will be commissioned in November 2018, the modernization of the existing airport terminal will continue.
Minsk National Airport is Belarus’ first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001.
The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
