Aimatter, a team of developers from Minsk, has just presented Fabby, an app that adds animated background to selfies. The global release of the app was made on 8 December.
Fabby automatically edits photos like a professional designer, its coolest feature being motion effects that a static picture into a creative video.
For example, you can put a cozy fireplace, splashing fireworks, falling snowflakes or even kittens falling from the sky to the background.
The application was tested in India and Australia in October, and is available for download in the App Store in dozens of countries starting 8 December. The Android version is coming soon, the developers said.
The team is headed by Yuri Melnichek, a Belarusian who was involved in the creation of MAPS.ME. One of the founders of Fabby is Yuri Gursky, a Belarusian investor and entrepreneur who mentored Prisma and MSQRD, the apps that became one of the best app on 2016.
