Wednesday, 6 June is the day when the whole world will run. Minsk is no exception, the city will join a worldwide celebration to mark the Global Running Day.
Could it be completed between sunrise and sunset on the same day?
In Minsk, the race called “Let’s outrun the sun” will take place in the Victory Park at 3pm.
Minsk has become one of 24 cities around the world where the locals will take part in one-mile (1.6km) race.
It will start in Auckland and culminate in Vancouver over a period of 24 hours with live streaming throughout.
It doesn’t matter how fast you run, both professional athletes and amateur runners are welcome.
What’s important is that you take part, and how you do it is also up to you.
Registration and entry is free and can be done on the AFI or IAAF website.
Olga Mazurenok, one of the strongest Belarusian athletes, the winner at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and London Marathon 2016, will lead the race in Minsk.
