On 3 March Minsk is marking 950th anniversary of the Battle of Niamiha, when the city was first mentioned in historical chronicles.
And history will come alive at a large-scale festival in the Upper Town!
A historical performance will start at 15.00 near the Town Hall.
Re-enactors dressed as knights will stage battles of different epochs – from the early Middle Ages to the end of 19th century.
The festival will also include several interactive zones: a blacksmiths shop and a shooting gallery.
In addition, the opening of the Museum of Horsecar is scheduled at 15.30. The new museum is at 6, Cyril and Methodius Street.
