Starting October the “Electronic Guide” has been launched in buses running along routes No 1 and 100 in the capital.
Displays in the salons will show information about nearest cafes, places of interest, weather forecast and currency rates. The screens can also demonstrate restaurant menus and movie schedules.
The only drawback is that apparently at present the interface does not include the English language.
The system was tested in several buses during the summer and has been fully launched in the beginning of this month. There are plans to equip all buses running along routes No 1 and 100 with such displays by the end of the year.
Later such information boards might appear in other public transport in Minsk.
