Mir Castle hosted a traditional Christmas Ball on 7 January.
This year guests of the ball travelled back in time into 1761 to celebrate the saint’s day of Theophile Constance Radziwiłł, the sister of Prince Karol Stanisław Radziwiłł, a nobleman and statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The evening was held in the luxurious interiors of the Portrait ballroom.
The evening started with a performance by actors dressed as XVIII century nobles. They gave the dance floor to modern gentlemen and ladies, who showed their dancing skills in waltz and polonaise.
One more Christmas Ball will take place at Opera and Ballet Theatre to mark Old New Year on 13 January. Last year the Ball was dedicated to Ancient Greece.
