Two planes collide at Minsk airport due to storm

Several planes have been damaged by a storm at the National airport, with two aircraft colliding on the airfield. There have been no reports about victims of injuries, Belarusian news website TUT.BY reports.

Two planes collided on Wednesday, July 13, because of the storm. The pictures posted online show a Belavia and a Rubystar aircraft that had hit each other on the runway.

Representatives of the Belarusian Airlines confirmed that bad weather caused problems at the National Airport.

“Several planes have been damages, including ours. No one was killed or injured”, the company told  TUT.BY.

Other pics show broken windows and flooded halls of the airport building.



Storm caused delays, several flights were diverted to other airports. At present planes are departing on time.
