Minsk will no longer be grey and dull – at least on the internet. There appeared an interactive map of the city center that allows users to color the capital the way they see it.
The map was designed by a Belarusian artist Mitya Pislyak and programmed by Red Graphic agency.
It shows some of the most interesting sights of the Belarusian capital as seen by the artist and has a bunch of curious characters – bees, beavers, Brazilian dancers, and even Darya Domracheva with a pram – walking the streets.
Users can pick different colors at the bottom of the page and give the city the appearance they wish. The website being public, many people can be coloring the map at the same time.
So don’t freak out if you see white parts of the map become yellow or green or red without any action from you!
“We have come up with a gift that will survive New Year’s rush and will come in handy during long winter evenings”, the director of Red Graphic agency said. “We are now preparing the paper version of the map”.
It is planned that 3 to 5 thousand paper copies will be ready by the end of January. Those whowish to be the first ones to be informed about it, may leave their e-mail by pressing a button in the right-hand corner of the page.
