BSU Breaks Into Top 30 In QS University Rankings For Emerging Europe

Four Belarusian universities are mentioned among the top 300 universities of emerging Europe and central Asia (EECA) in QS University Rankings 2018.

The Belarusian State University (BSU) has made it to the Top 30!

The Belarusian State University saw its best position at 21st rank in the last three years since its 36th rank in 2016.

Besides BSU, there are three other Belarusian universities in the list.

The Belarusian National Technical University ranked at 79th place, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronis – at 118.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno emerged in the 191-200 group.

Top of the QS University Rankings for EECA for the third consecutive year, Lomonosov Moscow State University is one of nearly 100 Russian universities in this year’s expanded ranking.

Two others leaders are the Russian Novosibirsk State University, ranked second, and the University of Tartu in Estonia.

This year’s rankings were compiled by assessing universities on eight different indicators, including the university’s online presence and the proportion of academic staff members qualified to a PhD level.

As for the World University rankings, released earlier this year, BSU improved its performance by 20 positions rising up to 334th place.

BSU was also mentioned in the THE Europe University Rankings 2017 where it was placed in 301+ group among 400 universities.
